A Pot of Lovely Pink "Roses"

I had the opportunity to create another cupcake pot last Friday so I happily took the chance! They were red velvet cupcakes with vanilla cream cheese frosting, and it was ordered by the same lady who ordered the "Strawberry Shortcake" cupcakes.

She said feel free to do whatever you want, so I went ahead and piped roses for this pot design. I finished it off with a soft green ribbon which I think complimented the colour of the roses well.

Afternoon Cupcake Treats

I created a variety of flavours for some of the research staff at the Khoo Teck Puat hospital last Friday afternoon.

They requested vanilla, chocolate, red flavour, lemon and a couple of chocolate vegan cupcakes. I paired them with vanilla buttercream, chocolate buttercream, vanilla cream cheese frosting, lemon buttercream and a chocolate raspeberry ganache respectively.

"Strawberry Shortcake" Cupcakes

I made these cuppies for a regular customer last week, who wanted to treat her 3 year old daughter to these treats because she did well in school. She asked me whether I could make a Strawberry Shortcake 3D image as her daughter is a big fan.

However, after looking up the images I realised there was too much detail to create a fondant image and I'm not up to that level yet. So I thought of making my own toppers!

I got a really good friend of mine to create the image within a circle, then I cut it out and stuck it onto a pink card and glued it to a lollipop stick and walah! :)

The cupcake flavour was chocolate with strawberry buttercream.

My Beautiful Blue "Hydrangea" Pots!

I am so in love with these cupcake pots! I've always wanted to do a blue hydrangea for the pot and finally the occasion came up because a girl friend said she needed a gift for a baby shower, and I recommended this!

The flavours were vanilla and chocolate cake, paired with a vanilla buttercream. I use 2 different blues and a purple to come up with that exact blue colour shade that I wanted. These pots are the perfect gift for any occasion.

I would like to venture out and make this into something that I do quite often. I mentioned in my sunflower posts that these could take the place of your flower arrangements during a wedding or lunch reception.

If you are interested let me know? My pots start from $25, and it can range from 6 cupcakes up to 20 cupcakes.

As mentioned previously, I'll be designing more cupcake pots and you will see the options I have available. In the meantime, if you can think of an occasion for this gift idea, do let me know! :)

Hello Sweet Pea!

I really enjoyed making this order! My customer was actually a previous bride, and I made cuppies for her wedding 2 years ago on Valentine's Day. So turns out she just had a baby girl, and wanted me to make some cupcakes to commemorate her full moon. I was more then happy to do the job!

She wanted a sweet pea/daisy theme for the cupcakes and showed me some photos for reference. I then sketched out what I wanted to do for her, and here are the results! I handmade the large daisies and the sweet pea from fondant. It was so much fun to do, and I loved how they turned out, especially the sweet pea.

For the cupcake flavours, she chose vanilla cake with lemon buttercream, chocolate cake with strawberry buttercream and coffee cake with cream cheese frosting.

Chic Pink and Chocolate Wedding Minis

These little mini pink and chocolate cupcakes were made for an intimate wedding at Graze Restaurant in Rochester Park.

The bride wanted to keep it simple with high swirls, and I topped the frosting with edible chocolate beads and white sugar pearls.

Simple but chic!

The Usual Cupcake Order

These cuppies were made for an office going away party. I thought that morning the simplicity and structure of the cupcakes came out well, that I thought I had to post it.

Flavours were my "Choco Nutter", "Dark Decadence", "Southern Belle" and "Tropical Bliss. Was quite pleased with the meringue on my coconut cupcake, and I also attempted a rose swirl on the red velvet cupcakes. Topped it with edible glitter, just to make everything shinier and new. :)

Penis Cupcakes!

From flower cupcakes to this....

The title says it all....hahaha! Well at the last minute, my girl friend asked me if I had ever made penis cupcakes before. I said I never have but I'm up for the challenge. It was for her friend's bachelorette party. Suffice to say, the bride and ladies were very happy with it. ;)

P.S. I don't usually do "adult" themed cupcakes, but if it's for a special occasion I really don't mind. At your discretion of course...

"Sunflower" Mother's Day Cupcakes!

These is my first ever cupcake pot! Ain't it so pretty? I actually have to thank my sis for this idea as she suggested I made a cupcake "bouquet" in a pot for her mother in law for mother's day. So off we went to buy the pot, the flower sponge and I had some spare lollipop sticks in the house.

And wala! This creation was born. She was so happy with the result, and I think it makes for a perfect gift for any occasion.

Hence, I've decided I'm gonna market more of these cupcake "flower pots" as an alternative to the usual cupcake box gifts. And u know what, these pots could also take the place of a flower arrangement during a wedding dinner. It looks pretty but also can serve as dessert for guests, so you kill 2 birds with one stone.

Watch this space soon for more cupcake "flower pot" creations!!! Coming very very soon...

And Then There Was A Bride & Groom...

A lovely couple from Indonesia made an unusual but creative request for their wedding last weekend. They wanted a main bridal cake with cupcakes, but they also requested "bride" and "groom" cupcakes.

The idea was totally their own, and they even provided me with sketches on how they wanted the whole thing to look like. Cute and creative couple!

The flavours for the main cake and cupcakes was red velvet with a vanilla cream cheese frosting; the "groom" cupcakes was chocolate with a chocolate orange buttercream, and the "bride" cupcakes was lemon with a strawberry buttercream.

Bestie's Birthday!

It was one of my best friend's birthday, and so we all met at a french bistro for lunch and had a lovely afternoon. I made his favourite, lemon cupcake with lemon buttercream.

Love you Justin!

P.S. Justin is the creative master of his own florist company "Fleurlicious". He's the best! check out his website www.fleurlicious.com

Malk's Birthday!

A lady ordered this for her colleague's birthday. I love the pink, blue and chocolate colour combo.

Shanghai Style Mini Cupcakes

A lovely bride of mine called Rachel ordered these shanghai style minis for her wedding reception at the Swissotel at Clarke Quay. I had done something similar before, but I tell you icing the "xi" itself took over an hour. But the result was worth it!

I chose the bright and contrasting colours to make the mini's stand out, which I sort of based on the colours by Shanghai Tang. Much "double happiness" to the newly wedded couple!
