A Green and White Valentine

What better way to celebrate Valentines day then having your own dream wedding? That's just what my client did. She had a closed marquee wedding at Fort Canning park that were in the colours of pink, green and white. Hence I made green and white minis for her.

She had about 400 minis in total, that's why there was a 2 tier display. The only mishap of the day was my beautiful green bow cracked halfway through delivery. :( So I had to break off what was there and it was a flat bow instead of curled. So pardon me that the ribbon looks uneven.

The flavour was "Tiramisu Delight".

My Cousin's Wedding

It was my 1st cousin's wedding in December in Kuala Lumpur, and I promised her that I would bake her some goodies for the cocktail hour. It's just one photo, but there were many of these mini tiers spread throughout the cocktail reception. I baked about 200 pieces.

She held it at the Grand Dorsett in Subang, and the hotel was great to provide these mini tiers. They even set it up for me which was great! The flavours were my "Southern Belle" and "Tiramisu Delight"

Suffice to say, all of them were finished before the dinner started. :)

"Bertunang" Cupcakes

My lovely helper Zarinah, her son had his engagement party a couple of months ago and I happily made this set for her. It's not fondant fancy like the usual "bertunang" cupcakes, but I put my own twist on it. It's simple but still makes for a pretty statement.

The flavour was vanilla with lemon buttercream.

Royal Blue and Cream Mini Cupcake Tower

The lovely bride ordered this royal blue and cream combo for her church wedding luncheon down at the east coast.

The flavours were chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and my "Southern Belle". I used blue glitter on the blue icing to make it pop, and topped the cream icing with edible light blue pearls.

Pink Chic High Tower Minis

The real colour looks like this photo taken on Instagram

This pink tower looks familiar? I created the same design 2 years ago for a smaller display, and my client requested the same look but for a bigger tower. There were about 200 minis on this display.

The flavour was chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream.

Modern "Guo Da Li" Cupcake Box

Hello there once again! I know I know, I take ages to upload the stuff that I've done and some of you may think that I'm out of action, but that really isn't the case.

To be honest, I've been juggling 4 jobs so sometimes it gets the best of me and I should have been more diligent in allocating time to this blog. Same goes for the emails. I know in the past it sometimes takes me a few days to get back on replies, and I do apologise for this. Your query is important to me and I've taken measures to become more prompt.

But back to cupcakes! I made this modern guo da li order a few months back. The flavours were "Southern Belle", Lemon Cupcakes with Lemon Buttercream and "Dark Decadence". It was fun preparing all the cakes and seeing them come to life! The large sugar daisies were made front fondant, and the centre of the flower was dipped in good ole white sugar. Btw, I've made a new and slightly improved chocolate ganache for the "Dark Decadence" so try to taste it while you can!

I'm also going to be working on some new flavours, and will showcase them soon when I have the chance. Definitely want to revamp the menu as well! I'll still have the flavours that are generally well liked, along with some other new additions.

In the meantime, stay tuned for more Cake in a Cup!
