Pink, Red and Cream Themed Cupcakes

These were made for a tasting session a couple of weeks ago. It's striking but softly coloured at the same time. Watch this space for the wedding photos.

Cupcakes @ Sentosa Spa and Resort

I made these tiffany blue and cream coloured cupcakes for both my besties' wedding, Sathish and Brenda. They are such a lovely couple, and the cupcakes were my wedding gift to them. They chose a coconut base paired with a vanilla buttercream. The tier was set up at the candy table, so guest could enjoy some light sweets before we enterd the ballroom for dinner. It was a touching ceremony and wonderful dinner, a great time all around! Congrats Bren and Sat, love you both!

Olive, Pink and Cream Themed Wedding Cupcakes

The three lovely lady helpers, dressed to match!

This softly coloured themed cupcakes were made for a Church wedding 3 weeks ago. The bride chose a sugee flavoured cupcake with cream cheese for the frosting. I also made a small 6 inch cake for her iced with her and her hubby's initials.

Sugee is not easy to make as it requires a lot of patience (and eggs!) but the result is a light as a feather base that is spongy and moist. For those of you who don't know, sugee cake is actually made mostly from semolina instead of the standard flour.

She chose colours of olive green, soft pink and cream, and unbeknown to me, there were 3 lady helpers from the church who kindly helped me to set up, were wearing the exact colours of the cupcakes! I think by God's grace it just happened so that we could have a bit of a laugh about it. :) Enjoy the photos.

Blue and White Themed Cuppies

These blue and white themed cuppies were made for an upcoming wedding, which I'll be baking for next weekend. Keep watching for an update!

My Very First Fondant Cake! Candies Galore!

Let me tell you I was quite nervous that day making this 2 tier fondant cake! I had never attempted a fondant covered cake before, let alone a 2 tier! But thankfully with help from the internet and some prayers, I made it through! It turned out better then I expected. The flavour was vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream, and I then covered it in white fondant and decorated with fondant stripes and dots in pastel shades. It was for a 2 year old's birthday party, and the client requested for a lot of candy so I added on rainbow lollipops, gummy babies and jelly beans! I also topped the mini cupcakes with the same candies and some m & m's. Talk about a Candy Wonderland! :)

Cute Colourful Mini's!

A girl ordered these cuppies for a party, a mix of chocolate and vanilla. Aren't they just adorable???

Guo Da Li Again!

Hiiiii Cake in a Cuppers! I know it's been sooooo long since my last entry. So much has happened in such little time. From my last posting, I mentioned I was moving house and let me tell you, trying to bake orders and move house at the same time is quite exhausting! But I managed, and I'm all fully moved into my new place which I'm so happy about. Everything is unpacked and done up like a home.

These cupcakes were the first I made when I moved in during the first week. Hardly anything was unpacked yet, so I was digging through boxes to unload my baking stuff first. Trying to get momentum with the new environment which I've finally figured out. This client ordered 12 boxes or so of these cupcakes to pass to her relatives for her Guo Da Li. She ordered Tiramisu, Red Velvet and Vanilla Cupcakes and just wanted something simple and colourful.

By the way with other news, I've started working a full time job during the week so if I reply to your emails a little slower then usual, my apologies for that. But cupcakes are still my greatest passion so I'm devoting my weekends to them! And the odd time at night to reply all your emails. Promise will keep track of my blogging more often!
