Flowery Lilac & White Wedding

This has to be one of the prettiest cupcake tiers I've ever created. I don't just love the look of the handmade fondant flowers, but also the colour theme overall. The ROM was held at Bottle Tree Park by the lake house, and the theme was lilac and cream. Chocolate Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream was the flavour, and the couple chose lilac coloured roses and white frangipanis with purple centres for the main event. The rose colour looks kinda blue in the photographs and the icing looks like a purple, but it real life it was more like a lilac colour. I dusted the roses and the frangipani centres with edible purple dust to give a more detailed effect, and finished off the tier with some lilac coloured fake roses (which my friend at Fleurlicious lovingly made). Ta dah!

Red, Black and White Wedding!

These eye catching red, black and white cupcakes were on Saturday evening for a couple's wedding dinner at The Hilton. If you recall, I had a posting titled red, black and white months ago and it features the couple's tasting samples. They wanted the butterfly effect in the end so I spent ages making them! My hands were kinda sore at the end of the night, but the look in the end was worth it. They chose red velvet as their flavour of choice for both the cupcakes and the little cake. The photos were taken on my sister's blackberry, the colour turned out way better then on my camera!

More Wedding Favours!

I made 22 of these champagne themed favours last week (the personalised tags were the champagne theme, not the cupcake colours!). She chose vanilla cupcakes with three different types of frostings: Chocolate Orange Buttercream, Strawberry Buttercream and Chocolate Raspberry Ganache. I'm not sure if you can see the design on the card, but if u click for close up there is a lovely damask print to the card. Check it out!

Sweet Pink Mini's!

These mini many shades of pink mini cuppies were made just the other day. Flavours included, sugee, red velvet, chocolate and lemon. Yum!

Wedding Anniversary Cupcakes

I made these wedding anniversary cupcakes a week or so ago, a lady ordered it for her parents Silver Anniversary celebration. The letters and hearts were suppose to be silver, and I dusted them with edible silver dust but it still looked white. Mental note to make the base light grey first next time! Happy Wedding Anniversary!

More Pretty Rainbow Cupcakes!

I couldn't resist taking a photo of the raw batter, just look at the gorgeous colours!

I made rainbow vanilla cupcakes again the other day as a client that works at the Rainbow Centre, a school for special needs children, wanted to have this theme to coincide with the name of her workplace. Hope the kids enjoyed it that day!
