A Hello Kitty Birthday!

Hello cake in a cuppers! Pardon again, as usual I delay my blog uploads but I do have a good reason. I was busy moving house for a while and work got quite busy, but I did manage to make some fun creations the past 6 months so here I am sharing it with you!

My colleague had her birthday late last year, and her team requested me to make a Hello Kitty Cake for her which I was really nervous about but it turned out better then I expected! I used a hello kitty face template which I cut printed from the internet to trace the outline. For the ombre effect, I used a pink food spray and graduated the colour from bottom to top.

The result was just "kawaii'! Flavour was vanilla with vanilla buttercream.

An 'MT3' Birthday

A couple of months ago, I organized a surprise birthday party for the special person in my life. We held it at Maison Ikkoku in Kandahar Street, and it was a great get together of close friends and family. I made his favorite cupcakes which is simple vanilla with vanilla buttercream. His friend helped me create the 'I Heart MT3' toppers.

If you must know, MT are his initials and 3 is his basketball jersey number. Hence it's his nickname, so we happily indulged in his ego for 1 night. ;)

Sprinkles & Swirls

These simple decorated cupcakes are enough to make my mouth water. It was just red velvet, and good ole chocolate for a lovely little girl named Alicia, as it was her 4th birthday.

Halloween Pumpkin Cupcakes

A PR Agency ordered these halloween goodies as treats for the media, and it's my first time making halloween themed cupcakes so I got inspired from the web, and created scary halloween faces. They were simple vanilla cupcakes with vanilla cream cheese frosting, but the inside was rainbow cake which I didn't manage to take a picture. Hope your Halloween was spooky and fun!

True Blue Tiffany Theme Cupcakes

I really enjoyed making these classic Tiffany themed cupcakes as it has been quite a while. This was for an ROM at St Andrew's Church about 6 weeks ago. I got the colour right on the red velvet flavor but the vanilla came out a little more blue then I thought. Should have added more green for the right shade, but nevertheless the look was cute, classic and elegant.

Tiffany & Cream Wedding Cupcakes

I made these cupcakes for a wedding in September, and it took place at the National Museum, a first for me over there. The bride requested tiffany and cream colored cupcakes, with designs of pearls & flowers.

I used my vintage themed stands to bring a whimsical effect to the set up, which looked lovely among all the candies. Flavours were red velvet, vanilla and tiramisu.

Green & Cream Coloured Birthday Cupcakes

These cuppies were made at the last minute for a friend of a friend. It was for his son's birthday, who loves green, therefore requested simple green and cream themed cupcakes.

There's something super appealing about giant swirls of icing....Yum! Flavour was vanilla with vanilla buttercream.
