Cupcake + Wine Pairing Party!

Last night was so much fun when I went to my friend's Cupcake + Wine Pairing Party. I supplied the cupcakes, and she supplied the sommelier. Yes seriously, a sommelier.

His name is Gerald and he owns Praelum Wine Bar over at Duxton Hill. My friend informed him of the cupcake flavors beforehand, which were lemon cupcake with strawberry buttercream, red velvet cupcake with chocolate buttercream and my chocolate guinness cake with bailey's buttercream, and he paired them very well with the wine he brought over. I believe it was a light white wine from Germany, then a moscato, and then a shiraz accordingly.

Would you believe it all went well together?? Amazing.

Watching space for more cupcake + wine pairing parties. I wanna work on having more of it. Or if you're interested, drop me an email!

Simple Swirl Cupcakes

One of my regular clients ordered these simple cupcakes for her niece's full moon party. The pink rose swirl is my red velvet cupcake with vanilla cream cheese frosting, and the white swirl is my tiramisu cupcake with vanilla cream cheese frosting.

Rainbow Baby Shower

These rainbow minis and pink cookies were made for a baby shower a couple of weeks ago at the Grassroots Club in Yio Chu Kang. The mummy requested pink and rainbow sprinkles to go with the Care Bear rainbow theme room.

I also made vanilla snap cookies with vanilla royal icing. They were so pretty when they were iced, but to my dismay, they were not 100% dry so by the time I was at the club to set up, they had messed up a bit in the bag. Note to self, let them dry more then 4 hours at least!

More "Willy" Cupcakes

The "willy" cupcakes have made a comeback! I made this for another Hen's party for a bit of a laugh.

Last time I posted cupcakes like this, a couple of people complained. This is all for fun, so nothing to be taken seriously. ;)
