More Mini Cupcake Fun!

Hi again! I had quite a few mini cuppies leftover and since I had some time tonight, I thought to have a little fun with the leftover frosting and decorated all of them to my heart's content! Felt a bit like a little kid in kindergarden playing with colours and crayon but I loved it. Hahaha And they're so easy to eat! This size is pretty good for kid's parties or for those who like 'em small. Pop 'em in your mouth and it melts so yummily...

Ye Shanghai...

Let me tell you something, I am loving mini cuppies more and more! These Shanghai Tang inspired colours were made for a client just this evening. She's having a Shanghai themed wedding and wanted brightly coloured mini's with "Xi" on it. I used bold colours of red, yellow, green and pink to go with the concept, plus classic dark and white with red. The result turned out exactly how I saw it in my mind. Time for some "Ye Lai Shiang"......

Sweet Vanilla Bean!

can you see the little black speckles?

the lovely Irene with her cuppie!

I had a great weekend! Time for catching up with friends and it was a night of pot luck food and playing Tabu! Since it was also a belated birthday make up dinner for my gal pal Irene, I made butter cupcakes and vanilla bean buttercream for dessert time! The result, deliciously simple and sweet. And it went with the great champagne!

My Sister's Jakarta Wedding @ The Dharmawangsa

such a cutie pie!

I made cuppies for my sister's 2nd wedding reception! Tee Hee! Her hubby's auntie owns a cafe in Jakarta so I had permission to have full use of kitchen to prepare and bake the cupcakes. Even had a chef assisting so that helped to speed up the process. The result were simple looking cupcakes which I topped with mini red hearts. My sis and her man are pretty easy going so they didn't want anything too fussy. I also didn't have all my equipment on me so I had to make to do with what they had. Nevertheless, I had fun baking in another country. Mind you I even lugged my tier tower all the way from Singapore to Jakarta! Haha but it was worth it. :)

Happy Birthday Justin!

I love you sister!!

One of my bestie's Justin had his birthday last month, and I promised that I would make pink cupcakes! So the result was my red velvet, and I coloured the icing a bright pink and topped it with edible coloured stars!

Justin I hope our friendship will last for all time, and no doubt you have brought so much laughter and joy to my life!! I love you so much dear!!! xxx

P.S. Justin is the creative talent behind Fleurlicious! You want gorgeous flowers for any occasions, he's the one to call!

Beach Theme Cuppies!

fudgylicious!!!

my chocolate stars!

all shells of shapes and sizes

Hello everyone!!! My first post in a little while. Was away in Bali for my sister's wedding, and it was a week of heaven! I have never cried so much in my life, but the amount of love in the air was intoxicating! It was great to see friends and family from near and far come together, truly a magical magical moment.

I thought for my new post, since I was in holiday mode for a while, are these beach themed cuppies that I made a lil while back for a client tasting. She wanted most of it chocolate, and I thought to get creative by making royal icing seashells and star shaped chocolates. I couldn't find any shell moulds so that was the best I could do. I'm not a professional chocolate maker, but I followed a "moulding chocolate" recipe from a cupcake book a friend of mine bought me for Christmas. The result is a bit of a toffee like texture but the shape holds well and still tasted yummy! And I brushed some of them with edible gold dust to give a bit of texture.

Now I want me some chocolate!
